What’s happening on Hvar, as at April 17th 2021:
Number of new cases infected with Covid-19 in the Jelsa Council region (Jelsa, Vrboska, Basina, Zavala, Ivan Dolac, Gromin Dolac, Poljica, Gdinj, Zastražišće, Vrisnik, Humac, Svirče i Pitve): 2
Hvar Town area: 5; Stari Grad area: 0; Sućuraj: 0
Number of new cases infected with Covid-19 on the Island of Hvar: 7
(Note: there is no routine testing on the island at weekends)

What’s working in Jelsa:
The chemist, shops and markets are operating as normal.
Private accommodation is available: contact individual owners or agencies for availability.
Jelsa Resort, Fontana Bayside Park 4 * apartments are open.
Camp Grebišće is open from 01.04.2021.
Current Government measures for preventing the spread of Covid-19:
Masks are compulsory in enclosed areas, including in shops, and on all forms of public transport, including ferries, catamarans, trains, planes and buses.
Masks are also compulsory outdoors where people gather in numbers, such as around shopping centres or churches.
Cafes and restaurants are allowed to operate in outdoor areas only, from 08:00 to 20:00. Indoor toilet facilities can be used by clients, who must wear a mask while inside.
Sales of alcohol are banned from 20:00 to 06:00.
Handwashing and disinfecting of communal surfaces in public places are mandatory.
Where people are gathered indoors for meetings or church services, social distancing of 2 metres in every direction should be observed.
The numbers of people allowed to gather indoors or outdoors are defined according to the prevailing epidemiological situation.
